WHO ARE WE?
Ghana and Africa as a whole has relied heavily on their respective governments for the provision of solutions to the staggering and continuously rising unemployment levels that plague the entire continent and its explosive population growth. The need to combat this staggering unemployment rate especially amongst women and the youth, has inspired us to create LEADERS CONSULT GHANA. Our goal is to help curtail this social crisis by providing strategically researched needed skill sets and diverse vocational training programs to women and the youth to provide sustainable and gainful self-employment to help them provide a decent living for themselves and their families for a healthier and more prosperous society.
Our ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between promise and performance in the commitment of the major stakeholders in Africa, in actually solving the mounting unemployment crisis. Leaders Consult Ghana was birthed; as an expertise bridge between willing community development financiers (corporate organizations, government’s agencies, international donor groups, philanthropists, et al) and communities or policy areas in need of various social intervention initiatives with unemployment as our primary focus.
Leaders Consult Ghana also aims to partner with corporate organizations and the developmental community to provide our research, professional trainers and expertise to organize and initiate strategically researched community projects to help alleviate the living standards of the residents living there.
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
The journey began when our founder, Maamie Ajara Martinson, was still a student in the University of Ghana, Legon. She envisioned a skill training program to help struggling female students gain quick valuable skills that they can implement immediately to help them with funds to take care of themselves whiles they continued their education on campus. From what began as a quick response initiative, the organization had its first project at the Legon campus vicinity. This was followed by a health screening social event targeting mostly women and youth in the area. Ajara as she is affectionately called, soon enough became the go-to person on a host of multiple community development projects. Later these initial projects at the university were followed by micro skill trainings, safety workshops for various groups, Health Walks and screening at MacCarthy Hills as well as some social training activities during the Ga Homowo festival at the Weija – Gbawe constituency area.
All these culminating events finally led to the legal formation and registering of our organization called the LEADERS CONSULT GHANA in March 2018 with the Registrar General’s Office in Accra, Ghana.
We have organized and implemented projects in Six (6) communities so far to over 350 women and youth been trained in entrepreneurial and vocational skills. We want to replicate this success story across the country beginning with at least 8 strategically selected communities and schools (campuses) between May – July 2019. We believe that our solution while providing a platform for spreading hope and self-esteem, is an effective means to create new businesses and providing valuable income generation skill sets to help lots of families to earn a decent living. Our projects, mission and vision are intentionally aimed at reducing the rising trend of unemployment in addition to its social negative effects.

MARKET DEMAND AND RESEARCH
Ghana and African governments as well as other major stakeholders such as the internal community, international donors, private businesses, amongst others have for a long time promise to solve the so many societal issues that plague women and the youth especially unemployment. Limited resources focus on other areas of governance and other equally important task has led to a big gap between promise and performance of highly needed social initiatives, especially unemployment. Leaders Consult Ghana was birthed; as an expertise bridge between willing community development financiers (corporate organizations, government’s agencies, international donor groups, philanthropists, et al) and communities or policy areas in need of various social intervention initiatives with unemployment as our primary focus. No doubt, the Digital Marketing Agencies industry has benefited from the rapid switch from traditional print advertising to digital advertisements. As more consumers generate website traffic through the use of smartphones and tablets, businesses have purchased digital advertising services to build brand awareness across multiple screens and platforms.
Social pressure and shaming on private corporations, businesses and wealthy individuals to do more social initiatives to help the larger number of the population who are unfortunate is another reason why we created Leaders Consult Ghana to fill this vacuum. We will create strategically researched and professionally crafted social initiatives that will aim to reduce and ultimately solve these social issues especially unemployment amongst women and the youth.
Our social initiatives will aim to achieve our goal in a fast-paced manner due to not been held down by long dragging bureaucratic measures that governments and its institutions usually have. However, we will not sacrifice quality but strive to make sure our social initiatives and solutions to societal problems will adhere to the strictest of Evidence Based Practices and solutions that will not be a band-aid one but will be one to last for generations to come.
